Gold is one of the currencies used in Pirate101. The others being Crowns and Scrips. Gold can be earned by defeating enemies in battle, completing quests, opening treasure chests around the spiral, or buying it from the crown shop. Gold coins are very easy to obtain.
Transactions using goldEdit
Gold can be used to buy items throughout the Spiral. It can be used to buy items from local vendors, the bazaar, or from the crown shop. Only some items in the crown shop can be bought with gold, and the prices will be worth more than they are charged in crowns. The price of dye-able items depends on the colors chosen for that item. Some colors are worth more that others. So, it makes the item more expensive. In the bazaar, the price of a particular item depends on the number of copies of the item present in the bazaar at the time of purchase. If there are more copies, the price will be less. If there are less copies, the price will be more.
Items can also be sold to obtain gold. Items can be sold in the bazaar or to local vendors. Items sold to local vendors cannot be bought back again and are lost forever. Items sold in the bazaar stay there until they are bought by another player. Again, the selling price of the items depends on the number of copies of that item present in the bazaar at the time of selling. If the number of copies is more, the selling price will be less, and if there are less copies, the selling price will be more. Items marked "No sell" cannot be sold to vendors and items marked "No auction" cannot be sold in the bazaar.
Gold from combatEdit
Each time an enemy is defeated, chests will randomly appear in the area, however, you must collect them quickly, there is a timer on how much time you have to get the gold in the chests. Getting gold from chests is not a race; Every player who stays in the combat till the end receives the exactly same amount of gold.
